>On Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting Sarah and Tom’s engagement photos…and we had a blast! Sarah is actually Swinglish and has followed her mum’s footsteps in finding herself a fine Englishman to marry! Sarah and Tom are the sweetest couple full of laughter and such fun. Tom actually proposed at the top of a bridge tower in Prague…afraid of heights he didn’t dare to get down on one knee though! After 5 years together they are getting married in August in Vallentuna and I’m really looking forward to sharing their big day.
Here are a few sneak preview shots from their engagament photos session.
>I have updated my blog layout to allow me to post larger photos and move all the ‘bumf’ to the bottom of the page. It’s still a work in progress so you might notice a few more changes over the next couple of weeks. “Emilie, 7 months” is the first entry in the new larger size, but I have also updated the latest shots of sebastian in the larger format too. Do let me know what you think to the new format!
>Thanks so much to all the family’s who have volunteered to be photographed while I build up my portfolio. 3 shoots already done and two booked means that I have no more free baby photo shoots available. A few more photos of lovely Alva are available on my website portfolio and more of Sebastian will follow shortly.
I have two sessions already booked: One with baby Emilie and the other another with brothers Alexander och Vincent and I’m really looking forward to them both. So, don’t forget to check back here regularly for updated shots.
Since a blog entry is always better with a photo, here’s another one of Alva!
>At long last my website is now online..well in English anyway! It’ll take a another week or so until I’m happy with the Swedish text… Prices for wedding photography will start at 3000 kr and go up to about 10000 kr. Family/baby packages will start at around 1500 kr and engagement around 2000 kr. Exact package prices will be available on my site shortly!
For those who book soon though there is a bargain to be had…The first 5 baby and engagement bookings will be for free including a selection of fully processed high resolution photos on CD…. I’ve already got 3 baby and 2 engagement bookings made though so you’ll have to be quick!
>Huge congratulations to Monica and Markus!… and a big THANKYOU to Mattz Birath who invited me to assist him on his photo shoot of the wedding couple. It was a great experience to see how Mattz works and be there as a hired photographer rather than as as friend or family member doing the bridal couple a favour. Here are a few of my favourite shots. I hope Monica, Markus and Mattz like them.

>Back in September I spent an afternoon documenting the Farmers Market (Bondensmarknad) on Södermalm as part of a 4 man team of photographers from my photo club (stockholmsbild). The job was part of a project in collaboration with Stockholms City Museum (stadsmuseet) to update the documentary picture archives. There were 5 other teams documenting different markets across the city at exactly the same time. Together we had an exhibition at the annual Fotomässan and next week our group will present a larger collection of photos at the Farmers market Annual Meeting. We also have a local exhibition coming up soon at Medborgarsplatsen library. Since I haven’t published any of these shots before I have created a couple of collages to share now. My responsibility in the team was to focus on portraits of the shoppers and stall holders as well as products. Others focussed on the stalls, overviews and transactions.
(For those who can’t read Swedish the sign in the first collage says pick your own bouquets!)
>Busy at the computer this evening I edited a couple of shots I took in Norway last Summer. It made me remember how completely stunnning the Nærøyfjord Fjord was. It is actually the worlds most narrow fjord and is a Unesco World herritage site! This first shot was taken on our first evening on an exploratory walk from our camp site, camera and tripod in hand of course! It was the start location of our 3 day kayak trip.
This shot was taken from the openeing of our tent on day 3 as the first sunshine entered the Fjord. It was such a magical sight.
