2013 har varit ett otroligt år för Lindholm Photography. Jag har nu varit i min studio ett helt år och det känns äntligen som att jag har bott in mig! Jag har tagit steget och investerat i massor av olika bakgrunder och rekvisita som jag verkligen ser fram emot att få använda. Men bara för att jag har min studio betyder det inte att jag har slutat med utefotograferingar. Jag älskar det fortfarande och det gör även mina kunder. Jag sitter och skriver detta blogginlägg från min svärmors soffa i Svedala, Skåne. Jag och min familj firade in det nya året tillsammans med våra fina vänner i Bjärred. Vad jag älskar Skåne! Mina fina svärföräldrar, mina fina vänner och dessa fina stränder! När jag är igång igen och tillbaka i studion lovar jag att fixa en fin samling av årets favoritbilder men tills dess tänker jag dela en familjefotografering från Skåne i somras, på Bjärreds underbara strand. Det känns så lyxligt för en Stockholmsfotograf som jag att kunna fota i en sådan miljö. Eftermiddagsljuset från havet med öppen horisont… Vem behöver en assistent med reflex-skärm när man har den fina ljusa sanden runt om sig?!

Så här kommer mina favoritbilder (det finns många av denna underbara familj) och efteråt ett väldigt roligt bildspel med alla bilder och ett litet filmsnitt eller två från fotograferingen på stranden (Tack Jenny!). Familjen har en helt underbar kollektion hemma hos sig med 7 av dessa bilder och det blev nog en av mina favoriterkollektioner från året. (Har jag sagt hur mycket jag älskar Skånes stränder?!)

2013 has been an incredible year for me. I have now been in my studio for a whole year and it finally feels like a home from home! But just because I have my studio it doesn’t mean that I’ve stopped with outdoor photography sessions. I still love them and so do my clients. I’m writing this blog post from my mother-in-laws sofa in Svedala, Skane. My family and I celebrated the New Year together with our good friends in Bjärred. How I love Skåne! My lovely in-laws, my fine friends and the beautiful beaches! When I’m back in the studio, I promise to do a collection of the year’s favorite images but until then I thought I’d share a family session from Skåne this Summer, on the wonderful Bjärreds beach . It feels so luxirious for a Stockholm photographer like me to be able to photograph in such an environment. The afternoon light from the sea with an open horizon… Who needs an assistant with a reflector screen when you have the nice white sand around them!

So here are my favorite portraits (there are many of this wonderful family) and afterwards a very nice slideshow of all images from the session with a little film clip or two behind the scenes (Thanks Jenny !) All of my clients get to see such slideshows of their session on a big projector screen with a fika in my studio after their session. Of course you can buy them in HD and they were a very appreciated Christmas bonus to my customers who ordered one of my packages before Christmas. In February I’ll be revising my packages for 2014, with some new exciting products and I think these slideshows will be a part of them… but we’ll see!

Denna lille tjej var superblygg när hon kom in till studion för sin 1 års-fotografering men efter jag bytt ut min scen till det mysiga vinter scen blev hon väldig glad och bjud på härliga skratt! Varje barnfotografering är helt unikt. Man vet aldrig hur det kommer blir… men 99% av tiden går det galant och jag får underbara bilder!

För att ingen blogg är färdig utan en bild så delar jag denna nyligen tagna nyföddfoto på en liten kille som var bara 7 dagar gammal  (om jag kommer ihåg rätt)!

Jag vet, det var en evighet sedan jag bloggade sist. Det är en bra tecken…jag har för fullt upp!  Det är faktiskt sant. Jag kör hårt just nu med alla leveranser till fotograferingar från sensommaren och hösten och fotografera massa med fina söta barn inför jul. Så jag tänkte att över de kommande dager bloggar jag några favoriter bilder från sista tiden tillsammans med några speciala erbjudande till båda nya och gamla kunder. Så kommer tillbaka och kika in. It’s now officially Autumn! The day time temperature has dropped below 10 degrees, the kids have hat and gloves on in the mornings and the leaves are changing colours…and just as the last years have been, I have a VERY busy October month ahead of me! Its the busiest month of the year for me after August. Everybody who planned to do their family photographs suddenly remembers the year is coming to an end and all those well organised mums planning for Christmas gifts also book now.

I actually have an Autumn special just now; family sessions outdoors in October or November for only 500 kr instead of the usual 900 kr. I have just a couple of these session times left at the end of October so if you were thinking of an Autumn outdoor session then do get in touch to be sure I’m available. Be sure to quote ‘Autumn Special’ at the time of your booking.

This week I entered a few photographs into the Swedish Championships for Portrait Photography (SM Porträttfotografi). It was a little stressful at the last minute printing my FineArt prints, and mounting them, packing them to be posted. They had to be mounted 40x50cm prints with only a 3mm tolerance and arrive without damage. hmm… ok. So that all went well in the end if at the last minute. Then off to Särö I went for this years Svenska FotoGrupps annual meeting and seminar days. The first evening started out with listing the 3 judges comments on many of this years entries. The judges were from Swedish, Denmark and Norway, They are all truly brilliant photographers with many years experience and really and inspiration. It was a very rich evening and fun too since 2 of my 5 portraits went through to the ‘final’ which would then go ahead behind closed doors. I had a great time meeting so many other lovely portrait photographers. We could indulge in talking photography and business for essentially 3 whole days! On the last night it was the conference dinner and the  results were announced. I didn’t have much hope but of course a little excitement was there in my belly….and then they called my name for the Silver medal in Children s portraits! OMG! I went up with shaky hands, cried out, “fy” and accepted my medal. I’ve been running my business for a few years now but this year took the step, as you’ve all read to focus wholly on photography and opened my studio in Tullinge. It may only be an SM Silver medal (i didn’t win the total competition over all 6 categories or anything) but it’s  a great confirmation that following my heart was the right thing to do, and believing in myself wasn’t completely unfounded. So I wont be translating this text to Swedish this time since I think it’s better to express these feelings in my language… I hope my Swedish readers can forgive me…

I photograph a lot of children and I’m so glad to say that most of the time I get to photograph the whole family, mum and dad included. It’s so important to be in your photographs too. it’s something I’ve also loved doing. As a photographer, it’s not for the faint-hearted, It’s not easy! But it’s worth the extra mile. Capturing the real relationships within a family is my goal, not just a portrait of how you look, but how you feel about each other too. The pride a mum feels when her little ones gives her the biggest hug. Or the joy a dad feels when his kids laugh so loudly when they play. These moments are priceless. These photographs are so important for your children when they grow up. They won’t remember so much from this time, but these photographs will remind them of how much they are adored, and of how much they loved their parents too…particularly important perhaps when they are teenagers?!  Anyway, here’s a fabulous family I photographed just after midsummer.

Babies in the studio…I love that! I’ve just bought a whole load of new props and the cutest lace dress and onesie for a new set I am designing. I can’t wait to get photographing with those pieces! This session was with a beautiful girl who’d I’d photographed 3 years ago when she was a baby.  It’s really wonderful for me when families come back to photograph their children as they go through all their stages of development, especially when they bring their twin baby sisters with them!  There are so many beautiful portraits of each of them so there are several here to share with you.

Bebisar i studion … Jag älskar det! Jag har precis köpt en mängd nya rekvisita och de sötaste spetsklänning och body för en ny scen jag designar. Jag längtar tills allt blir klart och att få fotografera med dessa fina saker! Denna session dock var det mest nakna bebisar som gällde. Jag var med en vacker flicka som jag fotograferade för 3 år sedan när hon var bebis. Det är verkligen underbart för mig när familjer kommer tillbaka för att fotografera sina barn när de går igenom alla sina utvecklingsstadier, särskilt när de kommer med sina tvilling systrar med dem! Det finns så många vackra porträtt av var och en av dem så det finns flera här att dela med dig.
